see you again

Ah! H-hello! I'm Kaname Madoka, 14 years old, a Mitakihara Middle School student. I hope we can get along!

tea-and-ribbons:

Kaname-san Madoka!”

Alas her timeline version Madoka had appeared. Suddenly. How exactly? Who gave a flying flappendoodle, she was here now.

“Th-thank you…!”

Fate indeed works in mysterious ways… or maybe fate just likes lesbian undertones. We humans may never know.

“Mm— you’re welcome, Mami-san! I’d never break my promise— we’re friends, right?”

tea-and-ribbons:

So does this mean I’m alone again?

All those timelines teaching Madoka were a lie?

I WILL HAVE TO SUCCUMB TO BEING PAIRED TO MY KILLER

I see, I see how it is. Getting killed every timeline for you all.

More like BEING MAMI IS SUFFERING

What an odd sensation, Madoka felt like she’d been called here by some pull of fate.

“M-Mami-san? Please don’t be upset—!”

“A-after all, I promised to stay by your side, right?”

Avviare ☆ Sunny Day Life

thebluecrusader:

The blue haired magi had an unusual smile on her face, it was filled with excitement. For today was the beginning of Mitakihara Middle School’s summer vacation!

“Heh heh! I’m so excited today! Summer vacation starts now!”

She pointed to the sky and posed heroically, though seconds later she took a notice at her clothing… somehow she wore her school uniform out of old force of habit.

“Kuuu― why am I wearing my uniform on a day like this?! Gah! I’m such an idiot!”
Sayaka brought her hand back down and clenched the hand into a fist, slightly angry and disappointed. Though that didn’t falter her to enjoy the first day of their long vacation, and with the others!

“… summer vacation?”

Oh dear. Unlike Sayaka, Madoka hadn’t even realised that today marked the beginning of their summer vacation, rushing out of the house in preparation for another school day. Aaah, no wonder Papa had tried to stop her before she was out the door—!

Well, now Madoka was feeling foolish.

“I— I completely forgot! Sayaka-chan—!”

Well, of course she was excited for the summer ahead — what teenager wasn’t enthused by the prospect of time away from school, even if it did come with piles of homework. Not to mention the festivals, the chance to spend long days with friends and doing enjoyable activities — she was sure Sayaka would already have things planned. The blue-haired girl was remarkably good at coming up with fun activities—

However, those happier feelings were completely smothered by waves of embarrassment — aaah, how could she forget summer vacation?!

“Madoka, maybe we could wear yukatas someday.”

“Ah— I’d like that, Homura-chan!” Madoka privately thought that a yukata would suit Homura best… the way the girl carried herself with such grace that it only seemed natural. Maybe at the next festival..?

“Yahoo―! Madoka, ohayou!”

“Ah, Sayaka-chan—! Good morning!”

Another of her precious friends it seemed she hadn’t seen in an age — Madoka quite happily jogged towards the blue-haired Puella Magi. Her smile mirrored Sayaka’s; relieved to see the other girl cheerful. She had witnessed the strain that fighting witches could put on her friends — and although she couldn’t help them in many other ways, she hoped being by their sides and seeing them smile would be enough.

…Hmph.

The display of concern that the rosette showed always managed to warm Homura’s heart, sweetness growing not only in her voice but in her own composure as well. She stared deeply at Madoka’s ruby irises that beamed with hope and love, memories of the two of them together in past timelines starting to intrude her mind as she returned the somewhat soft expression, barely disguising the rare blush on her features.

She had confessed her true intentions and feelings to her best friend, there was no need to act stoic and serious around Madoka, was there? Perhaps it was a mistake having revealed her reasons to her so early…But perhaps now the pink haired girl would finally understand and accept Homura for who she really was. Maybe that day would strengthen the friendship the two had…

“I’m alright, Madoka…What about you? Have you been alright?” The time traveler spoke in a delicate and low-toned voice.

Something about the other girl’s demeanor had changed — Madoka may not have been any kind of expert at reading people, but she could certainly sense the difference. Homura’s expression seemed… softer somehow, and she was sure she could see the beginnings of a flush to her face — Madoka’s own cheeks growing warm in response, happiness welling in her chest. The expression was welcome… as silly as it seemed, the rose-haired girl thought it felt rather… nostalgic, in a way. Ah, b-but that was silly…

Still. From the sound of things, the two of them must have been very close, once upon a time. Homura had told her that she had saved her life at one time, along with Mami-san… Madoka was almost saddened that she’d never have those memories. Then again, hadn’t she been given the chance to make new memories with the girl before her? She was sure that she could never be like the Madoka she knew, but… she’d like to try. Or make her own fond memories with Homura… to get as close as they once were.

“Th-that’s good! I’m glad to hear—” aah, why was she getting flustered? That was no good…

“A-and I’ve been fine, Homura-chan! Nothing has really… happened…”

timetravellingyuri:

That familiar voice took Homura by surprise, a subtle smile crept across her graceful features, sharp amethyst hues trailing every single one of the pinkette’s movements.

“Madoka.”

Even if she was overwhelmed with joy inside, her voice as well as her demeanor remained calm and collected, staring at Madoka as million and million of thoughts ran through her mind. It had been a while since they last spoke—seen each other as a matter of fact, but the ebony, being the worry wart she was couldn’t help but constantly look out for her best friend’s welfare. Daily. Perhaps even multiple times a day.

“It has been a while.”

“It has—”

Honestly, Madoka found it a little hard to read the other girl at times — even knowing about Homura’s powers, knowing that her wish to become a Puella Magi was for her sake, it had still only been a few months for her since they had met. Even in that short time, though, the rose-haired girl had come to trust her — seeing another side to her that she kept hidden away under those calm and collected mannerisms.

There was a deep sadness that Homura kept tightly locked away. She had only seen it once… but once was more than enough for her. If she could help it, she would never want to see the usually-stoic girl in that state again — Madoka could gather that something terrible had happened, something that would occur if she ever became a Puella Magi herself… but Homura hadn’t spoken about it since, and she felt it was better not to pry into it.

If being here as they were could maybe make the amethyst eyed girl smile one day…

“Have you been alright, Homura-chan?”

timetravellingyuri:

“No one is around?”

“Homura-chan?”

Silly Homura, Madoka is always around. Still, it felt like such a long time since she had seen the raven haired girl! Thus, Madoka approached the other girl with a bright smile, feeling the happiest that she had been in a long while. Even with the usual stoic expression the other wore, it was such a relief to see her fine and well that she could push her worries away for the moment and smile.
